Benni McCarthy admitted that he thinks that the officials got a few decisions ‘wrong’ during his side’s clash against Mamelodi Sundowns last night.
The Brazilians hosted Cape Town City at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday evening, where they secured a 3-2 win over the Mother City-based side in the Absa Premiership, moving to the top of the league table.

However, speaking to the media after the game, McCarthy pointed out that he was unhappy about certain events during the encounter, although admitting that Sundowns were the better side on the day.
“We never sat back and just rolled over, I think a couple of the decisions, the officials got it wrong, very wrong, but it seems to be the standard that these kinds of things happen week in and week out and everything goes unpunished and brushed under the carpet,” McCarthy told the media.
“But, Sundowns took their chances, they got three, they could have probably gotten a couple more but that’s football, the better team won,” he added.
