Kaizer Chiefs could be one of the clubs to sign more than one player from Zimbabwe in their preparation for the 2016/17 season.
The Amakhosi have been in ongoing talks for the Chicken Inn pair of Edmore Chirambadare and Mitchell Katsvairo, with the Soweto giants expected to add the Zimbabwean players to Steve Komphela’s team for next season.
As reported by the Siya crew, Chiefs could land the two players in the not so distant future, should the Naturena club’s negotiations with the Zimbabwean club yield positive results.
“You know what, once it’s done, everyone will know about it. We all know by now that the interest is there. Once it’s done, you guys will know,” a source told the Siya crew.
Chiefs are not the only club in South Africa targeting Zimbabwean players, as AmaZulu and Golden Arrows also expected to reinforce their squads with players from the country.
Danny Phiri, Tafadzwa Kutinyu and Lawrence Mhlanga could all end up at South African clubs, either in the PSL or NFD.
