Uganda defender Godfrey Walusimbi has found a new club in Europe after eight months as a free agent since leaving Kaizer Chiefs. Walusimbi, 30, has been without a club since leaving Chiefs in January this year after refusing to be sent out on loan to Chippa United. Now after a promising showing in Egypt, the 105-time capped international has joined Albanian top-flight side KF Vllaznia on a one-year deal. "As promised by members of the technical staff, KF Vllaznia has made it a reality to hire another player," read the statement on the club's official website.
"It is left-back defender Walusimbi Godfrey. The player has signed a one-year contract and is expected to arrive in Shkodra within this week, as soon as he is granted an entry visa to Albania."
Walusimbi represented Amakhosi just 14 times before his contract was mutually terminated less than one-year into his three-year contract.
