Orlando Pirates 2-0 Cape Town City

Orlando Pirates got back to winning ways in the DStv Diski Challenge after beating Cape Town City 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Rand Stadium.

Defender Cassius Spandiel gave the Buccaneers a perfect start with an early opener from a scramble in the box and Thabiso Monyane doubled their lead seven minutes before the half-time break from a direct free-kick.

Kaizer Chiefs 1-2 Stellenbosch

Kaizer Chiefs suffered their ninth loss of the season after going down 2-1 against Stellenbosch on Saturday morning at FNB Stadium.

Antonio van Wyk eventually broke the deadlock for Stellies early in the second stanza but Mduduzi Shabalala levelled matters for Chiefs 20 minutes before time from the penalty spot.

However, Liam De Kock scored what proved to be the winner for the visitors three minutes later, as they remained just a point behind leaders Orlando Pirates in second place.

AmaZulu 1-1 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns' five-game unbeaten run came to an end after they were held to a 1-1 draw by AmaZulu on Sunday afternoon at King Zwelithini Stadium.

A point took Sundowns up to fifth on the table while Usuthu jumped up to 11th.

SuperSport United 3-1 Baroka

SuperSport United clinched back-to-back victories after thrashing Baroka 3-1 on Sunday morning at Giant Stadium.

Tendamudzimu Matodzi gave United an early lead, Tshepiso Mahlangu doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time and put the game to bed just before the hour-mark after bagging his brace.

Bakgaga scored what proved to be a consolation goal 20 minutes before time.

Marumo Gallants 0-3 TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy won their third consecutive game after thrashing Marumo Gallants 3-0 on Sunday morning at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Aphelele Teto, Koketso Modise and Kamogelo Sebelebele were all on the scoresheet for the Rockets, as they went up to third on the standings.

Swallows 1-0 Sekhukhune United

Swallows bagged only their fourth win of the campaign after a narrow 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Sekhukhune United on Sunday morning Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium.

Phelelani Mvelase broke the deadlock for the Birds seven minutes before the half-time break and that proved to be the winner.

Golden Arrows 1-1 Maritzburg United

Maritzburg United extended their unbeaten run to five matches after playing to a 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Saturday morning at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Jaylen Trent drew first blood for Abafana Bes'thende nine minutes before the half-time interval but Ngcobo found the equaliser for the Team of Choice on the hour-mark.
