New Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri is believed to have held a meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo, and in doing so, reportedly revealed how he plans on utilising the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for the Bianconeri.

Sarri, 60, was publicly presented as the new manager of the Serie A giants last week Thursday after sealing a switch from Chelsea.

As per the Metro, after his first public appearances in the Juve hotseat, the former Napoli manager jetted out to the south of France, accompanied by Juve chief Fabio Paratici, to reportedly discuss a new role for Ronaldo.

Sarri is widely-known for his tactical approach, but was the subject of heavy criticism during his days at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian tactician's insistence on amending the Premier League outfit's formation resulted in a change of position for 2018 FIFA World Cup winner N'Golo Kante in a bid to accommodate a fit Jorginho in his desired system.

It is believed that Sarri is keen on utilising Ronaldo in the "false nine" positionthe same role former Blues star Eden Hazard was deployed in prior to his transfer to Real Madrid.

Sarri is reportedly set to utilise either a 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 formation in Turin for the 2019/20 campaign, with former Manchester United superstar Ronaldo reportedly set to lead the attack.

The Portugal captain clinched the inaugural Most Valuable Player award in his maiden season in Italy's top flight, but Sarri is seemingly of the opinion that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner can score even more goals under his tutelage.

"I've trained great players over the years, but with Ronaldo I move on to the next level, a player who is at the top of the world," the Italian said, as per Marca.

"This is a lad with every record in world football and I'd like to help him set another, knowing I contributed to it.

"I trained a player with the all-time Serie A record for goals in a single season (Gonzalo Higuain at Napoli). I'd like to make that two. It'd be an enormous satisfaction."
