New Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed his delight at being able to coach "the best in the world" Cristiano Ronaldo, while also discussing his aspirations for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Sarri, 60, took over the reins at Stamford Bridge in July 2018 after his arrival from Napoli, but left the club after only one season in charge, guiding the Blues to a third-place finish in the Premier League, as well as the UEFA Europa League title.

After being unveiled to the public in his first appearance as manager of the Italian giants, Sarri explained how he will handle those detractors who are of the opinion he is not the right man for the job.

"I always arrive with some scepticism, as it already happened at Empoli, Napoli and Chelsea," he said, as per Marca.

"The only way to eliminate this scepticism is by winning and convincing people.

"Juventus are the most important team in Italy and their offer is the culmination of a very long career, 80% of which was very difficult."

Sarri, also heaped massive praise on Ronaldo, saying the Serie A giants boast more quality with him in their ranks.

"With Cristiano Ronaldo we are at a higher level, as he is the best in the world," he added.

"It is exciting to be able to coach him and I would like to help him overcome new challenges.

"When a player has the quality of (Paulo) Dybala or Ronaldo, they can play any role on the pitch, and what can change is just the interpretation of that role."

In his maiden season in Turin, Ronaldo won two titles with Juve, and was also the recipient of the first-ever Serie A Most Valuable Player award for the best player of the 2018/19 campaign
