After indifferent starts to the new season for Manchester United and FC Barcelona, several managers have been put on alert. Here are 10 high-profile coaches who are still on the market.

While only six games into the new season, the panic buttons may be premature, but the Spaniard's inability to help the side secure UEFA Champions League glory - added to their lavish off-season spending, has increased the expectation levels dramatically at the Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer at United was backed publically by the club's board to lead a new youthful United squad into a new era but their woeful displays leave them eighth in the Premier League.

As a result, the likes of former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is said to have already declared interest in the job within the growing uncertainty of Solskjaer's long-term future.

Another manager who has not hid his desire for a management return, is Jose Mourinho, who was recently touted for a sensational return to Real Madrid.

But with Zinedine Zidane's side profiting from Barca's struggles and now at the summit of the Spanish top-flight, the rumours have quickly died down.

One of the biggest names of Italian football, Massimiliano Allegri, is also on the hunt for employment after handing in his resignation at Juventus after the 2018/19 season.

The six-time Serie A winning coach has also been linked with the Old Trafford hotseat and more recently, with Tottenham, as Mauricio Pochettino remains courted by Europe's elite.
