With Manchester United reportedly snubbing the chance to go after Gareth Bale, here are the Red Devils' three reported attacking targets ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Click through the mini-gallery above to see United's three main attacking targets, according to the Daily Mirror.

According to ESPN, United are not going to enter the race for Bale's signature, given the player's injury history and huge salary demands.

Instead, the Manchester club appears to be looking at players of a lower profile to sign, players who would perhaps come in with a lighter weight on their shoulders.

Now, as per the Daily Mirror, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are looking to add to the team's attack on top of their latest addition Daniel James, amid rumours Romelu Lukaku could be on his way out of the club in this transfer window.

Lille winger Nicolas Pepe is believed to be one of their main targets following the Ivorian's incredible breakthrough 2018/19 season, during which he scored 23 goals and assisted a further 12 strikes in 41 matches.

The 24-year-old has, however, also been linked with a host of other clubs across Europe, including Arsenal and FC Barcelona.

Another Ligue 1 star United are said to be looking at is Olympique Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, while Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser is also reportedly on Solskjaer's radar.

Without UEFA Champions League football next season, perhaps adopting this approach to transfers is less risky than gunning for big names who would come in on big wages.

Di Maria Makes Huge Messi Admission

Alexis Sanchez's arrival at Old Trafford in January 2018 is arguably an example of quickly things can go wrong for an older star signing, although he could also be on his way out ahead of next season.
