With the 2019/20 season just a month away and Liverpool having signed just one player so far, here are five other stars who are being heavily linked with the Reds, while there are five stars who could still leave the club.

The Reds came awfully close to winning the Premier League in the 2018/19 campaign, but with the help of one or two additions in this transfer window, perhaps Jurgen Klopp’s men will feel capable of going one further the next time out.

In Spain, reports suggest Liverpool could be in for Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio, who has not been able to replicate the form he showed during his breakthrough campaign at the Spanish giants.

While Zinedine Zidane is believed to want to keep Asensio, one player he might not bother letting of is Dani Ceballos. The 22-year-old midfielder has been linked with the Merseyside club in recent weeks, though he is also said to be wanted by Tottenham Hotspur.

Portugal international Bruno Fernandes is another potential target, as well as explosive Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, who is currently representing his country Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.

For any of these players to come in, however, Klopp might need to show a few Liverpool players the exit door, but there are only a select few linked with other clubs.

The Most Talented Stars Mourinho Let Go

The newly-promoted Aston Villa are believed to be signing Harry Wilson, who spent last season on loan at Derby County in the English Championship. Xherdan Shaqiri’s future at the club also appears to be uncertain – click through the gallery to see all of the possible incomings and outgoings at Liverpool.
