Nigeria 2-0 Korea Republic
Nigeria recorded their first win in Group A after defeating Korea Republic 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
The Super Falcons began the campaign with a loss to Norway over the weekend, but they bounced back thanks to an own goal from Kim Do-Yeon and a solitary strike from Asisat Oshoala.
Germany 1-0 Spain
Germany moved to the top of Group B with a slender 1-0 win over Spain on Wednesday evening.
Sara Dabritz's strike just before the halftime break was enough to hand the Germans a second successive win to move three points clear of Spain, who occupy second spot.
South Africa will lock horns with China on Thursday evening.
France 2-1 Norway
France made it two wins from two matches in Group A after seeing off Norway at the Allianz Riviera.
Valerie Gauvin opened the scoring for the hosts before an own goal from Wendi Renard restored parity for Norway on 54 minutes.
However, France secured the win after Eugenie le Sommer converted a penalty with with 18 minutes remaining to secure top spot in the group.
