DStv Premiership

Result: TS Galaxy 2-2 Cape Town City

Date: 28 November 2021

Venue: Mbombela Stadium

Relebogile Mokhuoane was given a start by coach Eric Tinkler in the middle of the park alongside Mpho Makola and Mduduzi Mdantsane.

The Citizens made the perfect start as Mdantane opened the scoring inside the first minute with a volley that left Galaxy goalkeeper Vasilije Kolak with no chance.

However, City's joy was short-lived as Galaxy restored parity a minute later through Mxolisi Macuphu who fired home for his third goal of the campaign.

Both sides looked to build on that fast start as Ethan Brooks saw his long-range strike saved by City's Hugo Marques while Bradley Ralani fired wide of the mark at the other end.

Neither side were able to find the second goal in the remaining stages of the second half, but the Citizens got the reward just after the hour mark when Mdantsane completed his brace with a simple tap-in after Fagrie Lakay's strike was saved by Kolak.

Galaxy looked to get back on level terms almost immediately, but Mthobisi Mngomezulu was unable to fire past Hugo just moments after Sphiwe Mahlangu went close.

With City seemingly closing on a win, Galaxy managed to snatch the equaliser in the 89th minute as substitute Wayde Lekay turned home a cross from Marks Munyai to ensure his side walk away with a point.
