The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a halt in football across the world. Here in Mzansi it has left a few players’ in limbo with regards to their futures.

Just last week, the agent of Reneilwe Letsholonyane Steve Kapeluschnik revealed to the Siya crew that all talks surrounding the 37-year-old veteran’s future have been put on hold.

Letsholonyane’s one-year deal with Highlands Park is up on June 30.

However, Highlands have revealed to the Siya crew that they are not doing any business at the moment, with their main focus being on the fitness of their players.

This has affected the future of another veteran who is on the books of the Tembisa outfit.  Bevan Fransman, who signed a two-year deal with the Lions of the North in 2018, will see his deal with the club end at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

Like with Yeye, there have been no discussions regarding the future of the 36-year-old although Kapeluschnik did reveal to the Siya crew that the former Kaizer Chiefs man has no plans of retiring just yet.

Over at Bloemfontein Celtic, the future of midfielder Lucky Baloyi, who has been instrumental for the Mangaung outfit this campaign, is yet to be decided.

‘The Sheriff’ will see his deal with the Free State club end on June 30.

Speaking to the Siya Crew, his agent Jazzman Mahkagane is confident that they will reach an agreement with Celtic, although they have not had any discussions as yet.

Meanwhile, talks between Orlando Pirates and Number one goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands have stalled.

The Siya crew previously reported that the Buccaneers are looking at offering the 36-year-old a further two years, on his current deal, which is up at the end of the season.

His agent Steve Kapeluschnik told the Siya crew that they had started speaking to the club before the pandemic however talks were brought to an abrupt halt.

Baloyi is still active so he should have no problem finding a club.
