Patrick Tignyemb’s 11-year stay with Bloemfontein Celtic has ended with the unexpected termination of his contract with only one match remaining of the 2018/19 season.

The Cameroonian shot-stopper, who has been with Siwelele since 2008 and has played only for the side in the PSL, has confirmed that his contract has been terminated by the Mangaung club.

According to sources, the 33-year-old got himself into trouble with management after he allegedly spoke on behalf of players in matters relating to their grievances over alleged unpaid bonuses, among other issues.

Meanwhile, sources close to the Mangaung outfit have confirmed that Celtic players have yet to resume training, since their return from their match against Highlands Park at the weekend.

Siwelele lost their Absa Premiership match against the Lions of the North 1-0 at the Makhulong Stadium on Saturday.

“The Bloemfontein Celtic players are on strike and are refusing to go to training. They are disgruntled because they haven’t received some of their win bonuses from the club,” confirmed the source.

Celtic are scheduled to play against AmaZulu in their last match of the season this coming Saturday.

@SoulBuddy, I was just saying what is happening at Celtic lately is no different to the mess at fau. Family business are busy terminating players' contract with only 2 (two) games left for the season. What do you call that?

@setlaboswana - Too many inconsistencies in your comments. Too many double-standards. Since it's about Bloemfontein Celtic, how is it that Kaizer Chiefs emerge in your comment? Your argument against @TauTona is hypocritical.
