There’s so much local and international football to watch this weekend, you won’t have time for anything else. Luckily, you can stream it all on Showmax Pro no matter where you are - just take your phone along.

Thousands of fans will be glued to the English Premier League in the next few days - on Saturday, Everton takes on reigning champions Liverpool, Chelsea squares off against Southampton, and both Manchester teams are in action: Manchester City vs Arsenal and Manchester United against Newcastle United.

It’s still pretty early in the season, but the bookies are putting their money on Liverpool again, with Manchester City and Chelsea not far behind, so with all those teams in action, it should be a thrilling weekend.

On Sunday, don’t miss Sheffield United vs Fulham United, Crystal Palace vs Brighton & Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United, Leicester City vs Aston Villa.

The PSL kicks off

The PSL season starts with the MTN8 on Saturday, 17 October, pitting the top eight teams from last season against each other for a chance at the first title of the season.

On Saturday, newcomers Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, take on the defending champions SuperSport United, and later, Orlando Pirates host Cape Town City FC. On Sunday, Kaizer Chiefs host Maritzburg United and on Sunday afternoon before Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic compete on Sunday evening.

And there’s more

Watch out for even more matches from LaLiga Santander, when Granada goes up against Sevilla and Celta Vigo tackles Atletico Madrid, and Italian Serie A, where the all eyes will certainly be on the Derby della Madonnina between the great rivals Inter Milan and AC Milan.

All this football action and more is available to livestream at or via the Showmax app, starting at just R225 p/m.
