Tau, who is on loan from English Premier League side, Brighton & Hove Albion, bagged his fourth goal of the season over the weekend as RUSG lost 2-1 to Roeselare at home – their hopes of promotion are now at an end.

All is not lost though, with the Belgian league system offering them a chance to take on their rivals from the top-flight for a spot in next year’s UEFA Europa League.

See Tau's eighth goal in all competitions this season in the video below:

Tau’s side has two games left of the regular season, and are on course to qualify for the UEL play-offs where they will go up against 11 other sides for the chance to represent Belgium on the continent.

The teams that finish between 7th and 15th place in the Belgian First Division A, will be joined by the top three clubs from Belgian First Division B in two groups of six as they battle it out for a spot in the UEL play-offs for next season.

With RUSG ending their regular season at home against Tubize on March 3, the Bafana Bafana international and his teammates will then be turning their attention to facing top-flight opposition for the second part of the Belgian season.

RUSG have only managed to win two of their last eight games in all competitions after hitting a rocky vein of form, however, their efforts in the first half of the season have been enough to secure them a third-place finish in the overall table.

I give him a big-up at least his doing the best of his level and lets not forget that it's hard to fit-in and to start building a solid trust with other players
