Pirates have signed the likes of Gabadinho Mhango, Fortune Makaringe, Austin Muwowo as well as several others in an effort to bring to an end their lengthy barren streak.

The Siya crew previously reported that the Buccaneers were keen on bringing Grobler into the club for the new season as another string to their strong attacking bow, but it appears that their attempts have been unsuccessful.

Pirates and SuperSport United have already done a couple of deals this window after Kuda Mahachi and Thamsanqa Gabuza joined Matsatsantsa last month, but Grobler – it seems – will not be crossing the floor.

Speaking to the crew this week, SuperSport’s CEO, Stan Matthews, confirmed that Grobler will not be sold to the Buccaneers as they look for him to form a partnership with Gabuza in Tshwane next season.

Matthews said, “We don’t want to sell any more of our players, and Bradley will not be going to Orlando Pirates. He’s a valuable member of our team and we have no intentions of selling him.”

Grobler, who is known to be happy at the club, is currently undergoing preseason with Kaitano Tembo’s side and will be looking to hit the ground running when the 2019/20 season gets underway.

@Mqangabhodwe I can't compare Bucs nd Chiefs bcos Chiefs is still confused nd it will take long 4 them to recover. Sundowns is big team nd they play great possessional football, u know that, that's y I compare this two great teams. My team Bucs have been making a lot of mistakes towards the end of every season when we expected them to win the league. U must tell it as it is to bring someone to his senses. Chopping nd changing isn't going to win the league my friend. Pitso knows how to win the league. If ur starting lineup hasn't changed, y buy so many good midfielders without considering our weak centrebacks. Pirates need two good centrebacks, who are great markers nd very comfortable on the ball. They also need a right solid wing back. My hope is they get the new guys to adapt on time nd ready.
