With Cristiano Ronaldo on the scoresheet again on Tuesday, he now knows how many goals he still needs to score to catch Robert Lewandowski in the European Golden Shoe race.

The Juventus superstar scored a superb goal in his side's 3-1 at Genoa on Tuesday, taking his overall tally for the campaign to 24 strikes.

Ronaldo's goals equate to 48 points in the European Golden Shoe race, which means he is now two strikes clear of Lionel Messi, who has won the Golden Shoe a record-breaking six times.

At the top of the ranking, though, Lewandowski has set the mark at 34 goals and 68 points for the 2019/20 campaign.

Unlike Ronaldo and some of the other contenders, however, the Bayern Munich striker cannot add any more goals to his total for the 2019/20 campaign after the Bundesliga season ended on the weekend.

Ciro Immobile still has the best chance of catching the Poland striker, with the Lazio forward sitting on 29 goals and 58 points in joint-second spot alongside RB Leipzig's Timo Werner.

Immobile and Ronaldo still have nine more games to add to their tallies this season, while Messi, who has scored his 700th career goal on Tuesday, has only five more games to find the back of the net and climb in the Golden Shoe ranking.

Do you think Immobile and Ronaldo can still catch Lewandowski? Have your say in the comments section below.
