Following his UEFA Champions League heroics, Cristiano Ronaldo faces the risk of suspension for his "cojones" celebration that appeared to be a dig at Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner displayed his big-match temperament on Tuesday night, scoring a sensational hat-trick to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg of the last-16 clash to book the Serie A giants' spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.
After netting the 52nd hat-trick of his career, Ronaldo, who is the UCL's all-time top goalscorer with 124 strikes, mirrored Simeone's first-leg 'cojones' celebration.
While Simeone has since insisted he had no problem with the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star's celebration, the same cannot be said of European football's governing body.
According to Calciomercato, Ronaldo could now face the wrath of UEFA for his actions, which was done right in front of Atletico fans at the Allianz Stadium.

Simeone was slapped with a €20 000 (R327 000) fine for his "cojones" celebration in the first leg but managed to avoid being handed a touchline ban.
While it's likely Ronaldo will be handed the same punishment as the Argentine coach, should UEFA deem the 34-year-old's celebration to be inflammatory to Rojiblancos supporters, Juventus could face the risk of having to do duty without their star man for either one or both of their quarter-final clashes.
Juventus are patiently awaiting the ruling from the governing body ahead of the draw for the Champions League quarter-finals, which takes place on Friday.
