Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena says the team must have a zero tolerance for mistakes after Denis Onyango was sent off against Sekhukhune United.

The DStv Premiership leaders got back to winning ways with a 2-0 success over Sekhukhune on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts did finish the game with ten men after Onyango was given his marching orders in the final five minutes, but Mokwena noted the mistakes leading up to the sending off.

"Well, look in football these things happen, Denis will always remain Denis but what is important for him is to check and analyse..

"I always say to people there's five mistakes or six before the actual mistake that we see and at times we only focus on the final product.

"There was a build-up of certain elements and even in that moment, the back pass, then we get to the back pass of Grant Kekana and we got to the back pass of Mosa and even before Grant passes to Mosa, Mosa is saying, there's a striker, because they were two "don't give it to me" but then it comes he had to react a little bit because there's pressure coming to him,

"But okay good, this is the price we pay for being a side that plays from the back, a team that builds it's situations from the back but we have to cut out the mistakes because we have to get to the level where we're competing for the [CAF] Champions League. It's very important that we get to that level where we have zero tolerance for mistakes."

Mokwena also commented on the penalty incident after TV replays showed Peter Shalulile's shot hitting Nyiko Mobbie on his stomach inside the box.

"Not yet [seen the penalty incident] but from where I was sitting it looked like a penalty but I stand to be corrected because I haven't seen it yet," he added.

@Shayadawana Our young sure goal scorer Makgalwa is gone coz this Rhulani Mokoena wanted to accommodate a cow like Safranko. What is it that Safranko has brought to our team & league that we didn't have before he came?

Shut up Rhulani Mokoena. This Domingos of yours & Safranko do not even deserve to play for a team like Sundowns with so many talented players way better than them.
