He’s faced a bit of a wait following his arrival at Kaizer Chiefs, but Yagan Sasman is now clear to make his Amakhosi debut after he was forced to miss their first two games…

Sasman, 23, joined the Glamour Boys last month as a free agent following his exit from Ajax Cape Town, however his debut was put on hold due to the fact that he was serving a two-game ban after being sent off on the final day of last season’s National First Division season.
Now though, having missed the wins over Highlands Park and Black Leopards respectively, the left-sided player is in contention for selection by Ernst Middendorp, and he will be spending the next couple of weeks trying to persuade the German that he deserves a place in the squad against SuperSport United on August 24.

The former Urban Warrior is capable of playing either as a left back or a left centre back, with his versatility one of the reasons why he was signed, but it remains to be seen whether Middendorp will be looking to see more from him before throwing him in against SuperSport – a team that was also keen to sign him.
Chiefs have already used seven different defenders in two games so far, with the likes of Sasman, Happy Mashiane, Kgotso Moleko and Siyabonga Ngezana all vying for a place in the next squad.

@mercy1011 LOL Nedbank cup takes no club to Champions league. For sure he meant Continental cup and if that what he meant then look at it this way. Pirates, Chiefs and Sundowns are the only South African football clubs that have won the continental tournaments.
