Portugal 5-0 Luxembourg

Cristiano Ronaldo was the hero once again as Portugal thrashed Luxembourg 5-0 on Tuesday evening.

The home side raced into a two-goal lead after Ronaldo converted two penalties in the space of five minutes.

Ronaldo's United teammate Bruno Fernandes got in on the act on 17 minutes after being set up by Bernardo Silva, before Joao Palhinha made it four.

Ronaldo had the final say after completing his hat-trick in the final three minutes to round off the scoring.

As a result, Ronaldo now holds the record for most international hat-tricks (10) in world football.

England 1-1 Hungary

England dropped points for the second time in Group I after drawing 1-1 with Hungary at Wembley Stadium.

Hungary took the lead in the 24 minute after Roland Sallai converted a penalty following a foul from Luke Shaw.

However, the Three Lions were back on level terms eight minutes before the break when John Stones turned home Phil Foden's free-kick.

Albania 0-1 Poland

Poland remain in contention for top spot in Group I after defeating Albania 1-0 on Tuesday evening.

Karol Świderski's 77th minute strike secured the spoils for the Polish, who move to within three points of England.

Denmark 1-0 Austria

Denmark qualified for the 2022 FIFFA World Cup with two games to spare after defeating Austria 1-0.

Joakim Maehle's solitary strike in the second half was enough to secure the Danes' their eighth straight and a spot at the World Cup.

Faroe Islands 0-1 Scotland

Scotland kept their World Cup hopes alive with a 1-0 win away to the Faroe Islands.

Lydon Dykes was the hero for the Scots after netting the winner in the 87th minute.
