After registering another clean sheet in Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Chelsea on Sunday, Reds shot-stopper Alisson Becker has now equalled Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea's best tally of clean sheets in a single Premier League season.

Goals by African duo Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah gave Jurgen Klopp's side a comfortable 2-0 victory at Anfield on Sunday, to ensure the Reds reclaimed top spot in the league standings ahead of fellow title contenders Manchester City.
The result, however, could have been vastly different had it not been for the brilliant individual efforts of goalkeeper Alisson.
The Brazil international, who was signed from Serie A outfit AS Roma in a staggering deal worth £56 million (R1 billion) in July 2018, was at his brilliant best as he denied a number of clear-cut opportunities from turning into goals, most notably from Eden Hazard.
As a result, the 26-year-old registered his 18th clean sheet of the campaign, equalling De Gea's best-ever record with United in the EPL.
Not only does the former Internacional star have the most clean sheets in the 2018/19 EPL campaign so far, but with four games left to be played this season, the Brazilian is poised to surpass De Gea's best-ever season, which saw the Spaniard clinch the Golden Glove award for his efforts in the 2017/18 campaign.
If the Reds shot-stopper manages to keep two more clean sheets this season, he will equal former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina's record of 20 shutouts, which he achieved his debut campaign at Anfield.
While Alisson is in touching distance of Reina's record, the Brazilian will not challenge the all-time record for the shot-stopper with the most clean sheets in a single Premier League season, which is held by Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech, who amassed a staggering 24 clean sheets in the 2004/05 season with Chelsea.
