Although Eden Hazard has been tipped by many to be Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement at Real Madrid, one of his Chelsea teammates has claimed that the Belgian has not spoken of his reported desire to join the LaLiga giants.
Many believe the Blues will soon lose their Belgian talisman's services, with the player looking poised for a move to Los Blancos at the end of the season.
Chelsea have seemingly already started preparing for life after the former LOSC Lille superstar with the acquisition of highly-rated Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €64 million (R974 million) in January – the USA international will stay at BVB on loan until the end of the 2018/19 campaign, and will arrive at Stamford Bridge in the new season.
With Zinedine Zidane having completed a sensational return to the Spanish giants, speculation regarding Hazard's future has intensified.
The 28-year-old, who has previously revealed his admiration for the Frenchman, is rumoured to have been earmarked as Ronaldo's replacement by Real, who are said to be long-time admirers of the dribbling wizard.
In discussing Hazard's future at the club, however, Blues winger Willian insisted the 2014/15 Premier League Player of the Season has not made any mention of his reported fondness of Real to his teammates.
"No doubt, he's focused here," the Brazilian told the Daily Mail.
"He's never said something about Real Madrid or stuff like this. He just wants to continue to play for Chelsea.
"First of all, I hope he stays with us. But in football you never know what can happen.
"Of course, Eden is a fantastic player, one of the best players in the world. He's my friend, one of the best players I've played with in my whole career.
"I just have to say I hope he stays with us. That's it."
With 11 assists in 28 top-flight encounters this season, Hazard has registered the second most assists in Europe's top five leagues, with five-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi the only player to have registered more assists (12).
