Pitso Mosimane is head and shoulders above the current generation of coaches in SA!! Now because of agendas and JEALOUSY, Benni, Hunt and Khompela are the favorites for the Bafana job.

If the principle of "the best for the job" was applicable in SA, Pitso would get the Bafana Bafana head coach post. I have watched the ever-biased and agenda-driven SA journos and columnists almost biting their tongues explaining how Benni McCarthy, a coaching novice is suitable for the Bafana job. Some touted Gavin Hunt, yes a whole Gavin Hunt! The same Gavin Hunt they have on many occasions critiqued his brand of football. The same Gavin Hunt who has a dismal record in continental club competitions.

Pitso is an average coach coaching the best of the best players in PSL, Bafana doesn't have the best players in the continent if Pitso has to travel all the way to South America to find players what makes you think can do anything with the average players we have here? Pitso is not the type of coach to turn average players into stars, more than 80 percent of his players were already big name players before joining Downs, we need a coach that turns average players into stars because truth is Bafana Bafana is full of average players, we need a Klopp type of coach, and Micho is the best Candidate he has turned the cows we have into marketable players, rejects from wits, even memela and Lorch , Munetsi, Maela, Dube have become hot property, we need that type of coach who is not scared to work with what he has not a coach who will go to South America everytime they buy his star player, Micho, Bennie and Hunt are never scared to lose their star players because they trust themselves, Pitso is a coward

@His Excellency_zmvuyo he failed to take us to AFCON, instructed the team to sit back and play for a draw against sierra leone in mbombela because he was clueless... we talking about a coach that failed to beat ethopia at home..Is that not FAILURE??? To answer your question, he was there for almost 2 years, playing 16, wining 6, drawing 7 and loosing 3... Most his wins were friendlies by the way.

@BBm66 When did Pitso fail at Bafana? How did he fail? How long was he employed for? How many games did the team play under him?

Pitso failed at national team, lets give others a chance also to fail... Benny, despite being failr new, he has the attributes of a good coach, he is fearless and a No nonsense coach, Plays to win and inspire confidence oh his players. Pitso's man management skills are very poor, he is currently failing to manage +- 40 players, now imagine having a pool of south African players from different camps, continents etc...Pitso is right at downs, possibly help at bafana in different role than coaching.

If the principle of "the best MAN for the job" was applicable in SA, Pitso would get the Bafana Bafana head coach post without any opposition (in SA) .

Steve Khopela is among the hot favorites too, because some Jack Maluleka, a SAFA Technical committe member with nonexistent football credentials is big fan of his (Khompela). Is that how things work? Or is that how things should work?? Just because you are a big fan of a certain coach therefore they should get the biggest coaching job in the country? Cry our beloved football.
